Michael J. Burtha, ODL Fellow, Johnson & Johnson
Michael’s career over the last 23 years has successfully focused on improving organizational capability and performance through the implementation of knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and collaborative business strategies. As Founder and President of Applied Collaborative Strategies, he works closely with leaders to build knowledge-enabled collaborative organizations.
For more than 11 years Michael held executive positions within Johnson & Johnson. He most recently served as Executive Director, Worldwide Knowledge Networking & Collaboration where he was responsible for developing & deploying knowledge sharing and collaboration programs and strategies across J&J’s 200 operating companies based in more than 54 countries, driving innovative product and service creation, and business growth.
In addition to his role as a Center Fellow, Mike is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. He holds an MS in Industrial Administration from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University where he was a Krannert Fellow, and a BS in Industrial Administration from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Michael has delivered several keynote and conference presentations around the world and has been quoted and referenced in several publications including, Business Week, Forbes, Fortune, The Journal of Innovative Management, and the Harvard Business Review.
